Hello Again!

Hello!  Just checking in! Hopefully this blog doesn't get hacked again! EW!
Not much is new here at the Simpson house, besides DRAMA and lots of estrogen. Sometimes I think "How did I get here?" it feels like yesterday I was posting every single photo of Solee I could find, and now there are two more Simpson ladies and not enough time in the world to post photos. Blogger needs an app! Can I get an amen? Blogging from the iPhone wold be ideal. But those of you who are instagram buddies have already seen every photo I'd blog, so really, there's no point. Just living life, trying to stay sane, and figure out to balance it all, pretty much consumes my every thought. Any body have any tips? This lady could use all the help she can get!
Hope all is well.
Xoxoxo,
Meri

The Simpson Home

I was paroozing through some photos I took this summer and found these pics of our house.
Since I have failed to post any really good ones since we moved in, I thought I would share these with you.
Such a great place to live.
We LOVE Alpine.

Nesha Get's One Year Older

This gal turned 26

Brock (her Hubs) and I decided to throw her her
FIRST EVER
Surprise Birthday Party
at our house.
(She figured it out though, D'OH!)
(That was Brock's fault)
(He claims I made him so nervous by yelling
"Don't blow it! Don't be weird" at him for 2 weeks straight)
(Psh...whatever)
Nevertheless, it was a really good time.
(besides me PMS-ing SO bad I thought I was going to rip everyone's head off)
(Too much info?)
Special thanks to Nate's Mama who helped me set up
the masterpiece of a backyard.
She's a work horse, that lady.
I'm more like a work pinto.

The Menu:
Spicy honey mustard bacon wrapped Chicken
Grilled Corn on Cob
Zucchini Chips
Homemade Potato Salad
(Made with homemade pickles. Cass rocks)
Fruit dip that was so delicious, I nearly ate the whole bowl.
No lie.
Thanks Melissa.

This may looked staged.....and it is.
But the guys really did have this much fun!

Nate giving a "toast" to the birthday girl.

The Backyard.
I love outdoor strings lights.
And paper lamps.

It's even better at night.
The Whole Party (above).

Happy Birthday Nesha Gee.
We love you.

Perfect ending to a perfect night.

Things I Heart Lately

So I'm loving some stuff lately.
Thought I would share with you.

This mascara is fantastic. I like my mascara THICK.
So that would mean it took me a LONG time to apply my mascara.
This stuff gets me thick, full, long lashes in about 3-5 minutes
(compared to 10+ minutes is pretty good)
Can you see why I enjoyed eyelash extensions so much?
You need to be careful though and keep an eyelash brush or a safety pin on hand to separate your lashes, cause this stuff can turn your eyelashes into scary, smashed, spider legs REAL FAST.
So go slow, and watch what your doing.

This stuff is nice too.
I found a coupon for it from Groupons, and it was only $30.
So I picked some up.
It's nice because:
1. You don't need a prescription.
2. It's not $100 (like Latise)
3. It's easy to use. One brush. One tube.
4. It works! Yay.

If you obsessed with eyelashes, like me, you'll heart these things too!

That's all.

Spoiler Alert!: Our Christmas Card Photos

And you thought I'd never blog again ;-)
Ahem....(Jaime Jolley Stephens)

So don't be mad when you get our Christmas card and you think
"Um, I've totally seen these. Boring!"
Cause that's just too darn bad.
You know you want to see them.
So here you go.

Enough, enough, I know.
It was a HOT, HOT, HOT (did I say "HOT"?) day.
The kids behaved and did exactly as they were told.
Miracles do happen folks.

Mexico '11

Hola.
So, a while back we were blessed to spend 2 weeks in Mexico.
And the best part was, it was ridiculously cheap.
"Why?" you ask?
My beautiful oldest sister Stephanie owns a home there,
and let me tell you
it's one HECK of a home.
So amazing
So fun.
And it was just our little famly...and Adrian (I'll explain who Adrian is later)
The house is in Bucerias, which is right by Puerto Vallarta.
It was heavenly.
But I'll just shut up now cause I know you don't want to read this, you want to see
PICTURES!!!!

This is the view from the Master Bedroom.
it's a but early in the morning in this pic, so you can't take in the full beauty of the view.
Believe me, it's awesome.

This is one of like 2 pictures of just Nate and I.
Sure, it's fuzzy, but Solee tried her best.
This is at the Cliffs restaurant.

The girls with Orange Smiles.
This was the beach that you walked out onto from the back yard.
It was the PERFECT beach for kids.
We could have played there for the full 2 weeks.
No lie.

We spread a little love while we were there.
Adrian told us of a lady who's only source of income was selling the glass and aluminum cans that she would dig out of the trash.
We found out where she lived and brought her a cartload of groceries, clothing and supplies.
This is a pic of Solee and Vivi and her kids (mixed with some neighbor kids).
This is a picture of her house. There's a tiny bedroom in the back. She really loved Gigi and kept wanting me to take her picture with her.
I got a kick out of the GIANT tv in her home. It didn't work, but she kept it around non-the-less. Gotta have your T.V. if you live in Mexico, we found out.

Doing a photo shoot with the girls.
In this pic I'm telling them to act like Tigers.
Roar baby..roar.

Posing in the garage.

My little BFF.
Gigi was a champ. She just sat pleasantly on the beach the whole time and rarely made a peep.
Love that baby.

Mom and Viv. Get your finger out of my eye, child.

This is Adrian.
Adrian is the house guard/caretaker, he lives at the house.
He was also our "Manny" ;-)
He was so cute with the girls. He always had a treat for them, or was asking to hold or play with one of them.
He helped out SO much, we were so lucky to have him.
We love you Adrian!

Solee in downtown P.V.
...Um, nice handle there, Solee. Love her.

The girls found this bike and immediately commandeered it.
I wish we had one at home. They looked so cute scooting around with each other.

Solee, a natural beach babe.

Vivian, a FUTURE beach babe. Ha ha.
Here she is trying out Nate's paddle board.
Paddle boarding is a lot harder than it looks, FYI, I found out the hard way (face plant onto the shore, you know, that kind of way).

Safety first Vivian.

All the Simpson girls, relaxing.

Our set up on the beach.
It was a good time.
Hopefully, I can find more pics.
Love you all.
